Cocoa Spiced Bliss Bites

These Bliss Bites are a take on peanut butter balls with more nutrition.

Ingredients

½ cup sunflower seeds

¼ cup sesame seeds

¼ cup hemp hearts
-
¼ cup chia seeds
-
½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes (divided)

½ cup cocoa powder
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
¼ tsp ground cloves
-
½ cup almond butter or peanut butter
-
1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
Directions
- In a food processor or blender pulse all dry ingredients until almost smooth (about 30 seconds.)
- Transfer to a mixing bowl and stir in almond butter and maple syrup.
- By hand, form one inch balls and roll in remaining ¼ cup coconut flakes to coat.
- Place on a baking sheet and cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Store in an airtight container, refrigerated up to a week. Can be frozen for several months.
NUTRITIONIST’S TIP:
These are a good alternative to most store bought granola snacks because they are gluten free and naturally sweetened.
